Resumen
Las reformas neoliberales emprendidas de forma sostenida desde los años 80’s y 90s hasta la actualidad han producido cambios económicos e institucionales sustantivos en el territorio agrícola latinoamericano, adaptándolo progresivamente al funcionamiento de ese nuevo paradigma de desarrollo global marcado por el predominio de la racionalidad de mercado. Precisamente, el distrito de San Pedro de Lloc, ubicado en la costa peruana, es un claro ejemplo de cómo esta reestructuración sociopolítica ha supuesto que una pequeña economía agrícola local se transforme con celeridad, dando lugar a importantes cambios urbanos, transformando las organizaciones de producción agrícola y permitiendo un rediseño de todo el sistema territorial en su conjunto. En otras palabras, el impacto de dichas reformas no consiste únicamente en una potenciación de las fuerzas productivas, sino que el territorio en sí mismo está siendo producido como un espacio donde se recrean las relaciones de poder entre la ciudad y su entorno, reestructurando el sistema social en torno a los intereses de élites que no necesariamente guardan alguna relación con el espacio local.

Abstract
The neoliberal reforms that were carried out continuously from the 80 ́s-90 ́s to the present have produced substantial economic and institutional changes on the Latin American agricultural land, adapting it progressively to the dynamics of this new paradigm of global development characterised by the predominance of market rationality. Precisely, the district of San Pedro de Lloc, located in the Peruvian coast, is a clear example of how this socio- political restructuration has supposed rapid transformations in a small agrarian local economy, giving place to important urban changes, modifying the organizations of agricultural production and allowing a redesign of the whole territorial system. In other terms, the impact of such reforms do not consist only in a enhancement of the productive forces, but that the territory itself is being produced as a space where the relations of power between the city and its surroundings are being recreated, restructuring the social system according to the interests of some elites that do not necessarily maintain a bond with the local space.
